New exhibition opens on march 24th
Take a 3-kilometre hike starting and finishing at Esrum Abbey through the beautiful scenery, both naturally and culturally, while listening to 10 animated stories along the route.
All you need to do is downloading an app, follow the map and find the points of interest. Then let the app and the setting take care of the rest of the experience.

The Nature Agency releases maps for hiking in the state forests. This includes a map of the area, designated hiking trails and a description of the area’s culture and nature.
There are four maps over Gribskov. The northernmost includes Esrum Abbey and the surrounding countryside. See more
Wheelchair Accessible Trail
There is a paved and accessible trail surrounding Esrum which is suitable for wheelchair users.
Signs have been placed for visitors with visual impairments. Signs the map here
Bring your own bike and plan a route that passes by Gribskov, Søborg Castle Ruin, the transformed lake, Esrum burn channel, the Danish Russia and much more.

Rent a Bike
We have a stock of 30 bikes and bike helmets. There will always be 8-10 available. A reservation made a couple of days ahead is necessary if all 30 are needed. The bikes are all adult bikes and the cost of renting one for the day is 60 DKK.
The bikes can be rented in the Abbey Basement from April 1st to 1st of October.
